Context :

A client contacted us because he wanted to buy exercise bikes.

He wanted to outsource a bundle including :

  • Exercise bikes (branded).
  • Bottles (branded).
  • Microfiber towels with carrying bag (branded).

The WM-Sourcing METHOD

  1. Study deeply into the Chinese offer (database, current providers, networking, prospecting).
  2. Selection of potential suppliers (product and capacity study, company reputation study, financial risk coverage, …).
  3. Economic viability of the project (competitiveness of the offer and fulfilment of the client’s specifications).
  4. Analysis and sample request (see below).
  5. Sending the samples and conditions to the customer.
  6. Order confirmation : following the agreement of the customer on the product and the purchase agreement, the order is launched to the factory in exchange for a deposit which is given directly to the supplier to initiate the manufacturing.
  7. Monitoring of the production process : we are in constant contact with the factory and before the products are shipped, we carry out a double inspection in the factory and before loading the container.
  8. Optimization and logistic management of operations ( thanks to our logistic expertise).
  9. Realization of visual products  on white background for the customer marketing.

Sample analysis in our offices

First, we test the samples in our office in Guangzhou to compare different product qualities.

Comparison between two apparently similar models – Differences are confirmed and presented during the qualitative control in our offices.

For example, the base of the elastics located on the bike :

Or even the base of the bike. We can observe that one model has a smaller base than the other one and consequently ensures a less good stability.
